I worked on a project related to electronic document assembly and automation under the Self-help Alabama Forms Enhancement (SAFE) Project. This project aims to introduce freely available online interviews that will allow self-represented litigants to prepare ready-to-file court documents in family law cases. I assisted with getting this project off the ground and provided support throughout the first year of development, such as helping to develop the first series of forms and interviews in the SAFE Project, performing online beta testing with individuals from our client population, and gathering feedback from this evaluation to improve the development of the interviews. In addition to this, I assisted with conducting follow-up with clients who actually used the interviews to ensure the interviews were effective at providing the necessary guidance for clients to effectively fill-out and file their pro-se forms.
