My fellowship project at LASH focused on increasing the awareness of LEP communities' access to resources and tools for free legal assistance. Many of LASH's clients include limited English proficient (LEP) communities that are denied access to legal resources due to language barriers. During my time, I worked to improve online accessibility to legal resources for Hawaii's growing LEP client population by increasing language access. I conducted outreach and education to increase the LEP communities' awareness of LASH's online resources through social media platforms and strategic partnerships with organizations like the Hawaii State Bar Association.
