My fellowship project interrogated expanded services (including educational content and litigation resources) and improved service delivery to self-represented clients and the DNA legal professionals that assist them. Greater use of standardized forms, instructions, and checklists can enable faster and more efficient client response. My work involved using technology to expand legal services to low-income and marginalized populations in DNA's multi-jurisdictional service area, with a focus on improving content, resources, and tools for self-represented litigants. I tracked legal research for brochures, compiled statutory records, and provided trainings on issues discussed in the brochures. I also designed materials for ease of use for volunteers and advocates and created a library of reference materials to assist in providing expeditious legal advice and reducing redundancies in workflow action plans tailored to each client.
