I was part of the team responsible for implementing the Roadmaps to Justice (R2J) project, which seeks to transform the Kentucky statewide justice website, located at www.KYJustice.org, to make the website more user-friendly for self-represented litigants and to add new content, including easy-to-use guides and templates. The project was implemented in the following phases: completing an assessment of the Kentucky Justice website; re-designing and updating the website to conform to the usability needs of self-represented litigants; developing and implementing website maintenance plans and guides for updating website content. We incorporated user testing to retain base line data on the pain points associated with navigating the website.
