I supported the development, training, and expansion of the software tool A2J Author. A2J Author is an expert system that helps non-programmers from legal aid organizations, courts, and law schools to develop automated document assembly projects for self-represented litigants. While there are 1,000 automated forms in A2J Author there are potentially thousands more that need to be automated. The A2J Author team believed there should be a set of automated forms that are standard for all self-represented litigants wherever they are located. To support this, I researched the existing state of automated documents in the U.S. and helped to develop that standardized list of automated forms.
